Bandits Attack: NSCDC hands over corpses to families of personnel in Kaduna

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kaduna State Command, on Saturday handed over the remaining four corpses of its personnel killed by bandits to their families for burial. Seven personnel and five others  were killed by bandits in an ambush in Kuriga village in Birnin Gawri Local Government Area of the state on Monday. Earlier, the NSCDC had handed over the body of late Inspector Fidelis Yusuf  for final internment on Thursday, while ASC1 Shamsudeen Labaran was  buried on Jan. 10 at Anguwan Dosa cemetery according to Islamic rites.…

2 APC members killed in Enugu as police investigate shooting in office

The Police Command in Enugu State has confirmed the death of two All Progressives Congress (APC) members during an attack on the partys office in Enugu by gunmen. The commands Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, who gave the confirmation on Wednesday in Enugu, said that the gunmen also abducted one person while several other party faithful got bullet wounds. Zimbabwes Army Commander dies

Zimbabwes army commander died early on Thursday due to cancer, the presidential spokesman has said. The army holds an outsized influence in Zimbabwean politics. In November 2017, the army stepped in to oust the late Robert Mugabe and pave way for incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Lt.-Gen. Four Tunisian soldiers killed in mine explosion

Four Tunisian soldiers were killed in a mine explosion on the heights of Mount Mghila, in a closed military zone where insurgents, belonging to the Jound al Khilafa brigade, a branch of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), are camped. 5 killed in suicide bombing in Mogadishu

At least five people were killed and several others injured in a suicide car bombing in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Sunday evening, the Police and witnesses said.
