The leadership of ‘Arewa for Asiwaju 2027’, comprising members of its Executive Committee from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the 19 Northern states, has commended Liberty Television and Radio, (Liberty TVR) for its contributions to public enlightenment, describing the broadcast organisation as a trusted voice of the North.

The delegation made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of ATAR Communications Nigeria Limited, owners of Liberty Television and Radio stations, in Abuja.

The group praised Liberty TVR for its informative and educational programmes, particularly its use of Hausa and other indigenous languages to promote grassroots enlightenment, public awareness and citizens’ engagement on issues of national importance.

Receiving the delegation, Chairman of Liberty Media Group, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, congratulated the ‘Arewa for Asiwaju 2027’ FCT Chapter executive members on their emergence and wished them success in discharging their responsibilities.

Ramalan reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to establish a media partnership with the group to advance its objectives, particularly through Liberty TV and Abuja 103.3 FM Radio. He disclosed that the broadcast organisation has several political programmes through which the group could communicate the ideals, policies and programmes of President Bola Tinubu to Nigerians.

According to him, such engagement could be conducted in indigenous languages spoken across the FCT, including Gbagyi, Gwandara, Koro and Hausa, to ensure wider reach and effective grassroots communication.

The Liberty Media Group chairman expressed optimism that the visit would mark the beginning of a productive media relationship between both organisations.

He welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Board and Management of Liberty Group, and reiterated the organisation’s commitment to providing platforms for public engagement and information dissemination.
