Several Nigerians, as well as their Ivoriens, have fled their homes in Tunisia in the face of state-sanctioned attacks, taking refuge on the premises of their country’s embassy. Four Tunisian soldiers killed in mine explosion

Four Tunisian soldiers were killed in a mine explosion on the heights of Mount M’ghila, in a closed military zone where insurgents, belonging to the Jound al Khilafa brigade, a branch of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), are camped. A source close to the Ministry of National Defense said that the explosion occurred when a vehicle carrying soldiers was conducting a search on the mountains with rugged terrain. Minister sacks health sector workers following accidental death of young doctor in Tunisia

The Tunisian Minister of Health, Faouzi Mehdi, has dismissed several health sector officials two days after the death of young doctor, Badreddine Aloui, who fell into a broken elevator shaft of the regional hospital in Jendouba, northern Tunisia. The sacked officials are the director-general of Public Health Structures, director of the Center for Technical Studies of Biomedical and Hospital Maintenance, president of the Medical Committee of the Regional Hospital of Jendoubala, and the acting director of the Regional Hospital of the city.
