President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across four key para-military agencies, as part of efforts to strengthen internal security and enhance national service delivery. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC), has arrested Adam Imam Yusuf, a Deputy Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, over the alleged diversion of more than ₦3 billion. Yusuf, who was at large for more than a year, was taken into custody from his residence in Gwagwalada, Abuja, and is set to face prosecution. Two year old boy, father die in Jigawa building collapse

The Buji Local Government Council of Jigawa has confirmed the death of a 30-year-old man and his two-year-old son in a building collapse that occurred in Madabe village. The council’s Information Officer, Alhaji Ali Safiyanu, who confirmed the information in Dutse on Monday, said the 25-year-old mother of the boy survived the incident. Safiyanu said that the surviving mother is responding to treatment at an undisclosed hospital. Bandits Attack: NSCDC hands over corpses to families of personnel in Kaduna

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kaduna State Command, on Saturday handed over the remaining four corpses of its personnel killed by bandits to their families for burial. Seven personnel and five others  were killed by bandits in an ambush in Kuriga village in Birnin Gawri Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
