The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), yesterday, announced dates for the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States. Chairman of the electoral body, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said the governorship election in Ekiti will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2026, while that of Osun will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Mahmood made this disclosure during the swearing-in ceremony of six new Resident Electoral Commissioners, (RECs).
