At least 25 people are feared dead following a canoe accident along the Nguru–Guri waterway linking Jigawa and Yobe states on Saturday evening, with several others rescued and some still missing. The Buji Local Government Council of Jigawa has confirmed the death of a 30-year-old man and his two-year-old son in a building collapse that occurred in Madabe village.
