Fire has engulfed Gidan-Gilas, popularly known as ‘Gidan-Mai’ at Singer market, in Kano destroying multi million naira worth of goods. Eye witnesses reports said a shop known for selling provisions, was seen in flames and thick black smoke moving into the sky, drawing a large crowd of traders and residents struggling to save goods and prevent the fire from extending to adjoining structures.
