Chairman Liberty TV & Liberty Radio 103.3 FM Kano, Alhaji (Dr) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan has, following the recent fire outbreak at Kano Singer Market, expressed concern and solidarity with the State Government and the affected traders.

Ramalan, in a statement issued yesterday, expressed shock at the magnitude of the destruction of property in the market, describing the situation as most unfortunate.

The Chairman sympathised with traders who lost property worth billions of naira in the present inferno and the previous one, which occurred on February 2.

The statement reaffirmed the Liberty TVR Media Group forum’s solidarity with the affected traders, and called on the authorities to consider measures that would enhance safety security standards and emergency preparedness and response in major markets across the state.
