Suspected bandits have abducted a young woman, Zainab Auwalu, during a midnight raid on Garo, a town in the Kabo local government area of Kano State, despite receiving an immediate ransom payment of ₦8 million from her family. She was said to have just completed secondary school. The incident which reportedly occurred at around 1:30 a.m. yesterday, caused panic in the community. Eighteen people killed in the last terrorist attack in Kutemeshi, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been buried amid tears and anguish. A 35-year-old Abubakar Mutari was killed by abductors of the son of Jigawa State House of Assembly member after they received N2.5m ransom. Report indicates that gunmen had kidnapped the son of Jigawa State House of Assembly member representing Auyo Local Government Area, Hon. Isiyaku Sani.
