Suspected bandits have abducted a young woman, Zainab Auwalu, during a midnight raid on Garo, a town in the Kabo local government area of Kano State, despite receiving an immediate ransom payment of ₦8 million from her family. She was said to have just completed secondary school. The incident which reportedly occurred at around 1:30 a.m. yesterday, caused panic in the community. Eighteen people killed in the last terrorist attack in Kutemeshi, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been buried amid tears and anguish. A 35-year-old Abubakar Mutari was killed by abductors of the son of Jigawa State House of Assembly member after they received N2.5m ransom.
