The Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association (NBMOA)’s  legal suit is set to begin on Friday, November 29th, 2024, before the Federal High Court Abuja against Network Arewa24 Ltd., operators of the Arewa24 TV channel, as well as seven other parties, alleging unlawful operations, monopolistic practices, and cultural exploitation. The Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative (KCCI) has officially petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Arewa24 TV, a US-owned TV channel operating in Nigeria, on allegations of severe economic and financial misconduct.
