The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its House of Representatives primary elections across Kaduna State, producing candidates for the 16 federal constituencies ahead of the next general election, with the exercise conducted in the presence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The primary election results, officially declared by party officials, featured a mix of decisive victories, competitive contests and a consensus emergence in some constituencies, setting the stage for the party’s campaign preparations across the state.
One of the most prominent outcomes from the exercise was the victory of Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who secured 930 votes to emerge as the APC candidate for Zaria federal constituency.
In Kaduna-North federal constituency, the contest witnessed one of the clearest margins, with Hon. Sama’ila AbdulSuleiman recording 3,049 votes to defeat his closest challengers, AbdulAzeez Abubakar Kaka, who polled 65 votes, and Abubakar Mahmud, who secured 96 votes.
Several other aspirants also emerged with commanding victories across their respective constituencies.
In Zangon-Kataf/Jaba federal constituency, Amos Gwamna secured 1,930 votes, while Arch. Hamza Ibrahim polled 1,030 votes to emerge winner in Soba Federal Constituency.
Ahmad Muhammad Munir won the APC ticket for Lere Federal Constituency with 1,120 votes, while Mukthar Zakari Chawai secured victory in Kauru Federal Constituency after polling 1,750 votes.
For Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Fidelix Joseph Bagudu emerged victorious with 1,580 votes, while Daniel Amos clinched the Jama’a/Sanga ticket with 2,110 votes.
Gabriel Saleh also recorded a strong performance after polling 2,590 votes to emerge candidate for Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency, while Abubakar Shehu Giwa won Birnin-Gwari/Giwa Federal Constituency with 2,669 votes.
In Igabi Federal Constituency, Hussaini Muhammad Jalo secured victory with 1,171 votes, while Hussaini AbdulKarim Ahmed emerged candidate for Kaduna-South federal constituency after polling 1,130 votes.
Hon. Sadiq Ango Abdullahi won the Sabon-Gari federal constituency ticket with 920 votes, while Bashir Suleiman Zuntu secured 1,787 votes to emerge candidate for Ikara/Kubau federal constituency.
For Ƙaura Federal Constituency, Prof. Benjamin Gugong defeated Hon. Mathew Donatus, after polling 1,085 votes against his opponent’s 255 votes.
In Maƙarfi/Kudan federal constituency, Mukthar Shehu Ladan emerged through a consensus arrangement, securing the party’s ticket without a direct voting contest.
