“Tinubu has delivered more for North than any previous administration” – Uba Sani

Uba Sani on Asiwaju

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu has delivered more developmental projects and interventions to Northern Nigeria than any previous administration, pointing to investments in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare and other critical sectors as evidence of the President’s commitment to the region.

The governor also dismissed claims that the North may withdraw its support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the President would secure even more votes from the region than he received in the 2023 presidential poll.

Sani made the remarks during an interview on a television programme Tuesday, where he defended the Tinubu administration’s record and its impact on the northern part of the country.

According to him, his position is based on verifiable facts and available statistics rather than political sentiments. “Let me be very frank with you. And when I talk, I talk on the basis of data and statistics. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, I can tell you, he has done more than any leader for Northern Nigeria”, the governor said.

He maintained that the administration had implemented far-reaching development initiatives across the region within a relatively short period, insisting that no previous president had matched the scale of interventions recorded under Tinubu.

“I can tell you categorically, no president has done to the North in terms of development as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done in the last three years. And I’m speaking on the basis of data and statistics,” he stated.

The Kaduna governor further dismissed narratives suggesting that the President’s popularity had declined in the North, describing such claims as unfounded and disconnected from realities on the ground. “A lot of people have come here and told you the North will not vote for Asiwaju. That is a figment of their imagination”, Sani stated.

He expressed optimism that the achievements of the current administration, particularly in key sectors affecting the lives of ordinary Nigerians, would continue to strengthen support for Tinubu across Northern states as the country approaches the 2027 elections.
