At least 27 people have died following a cholera outbreak that has affected six local government areas in Borno state. The State government reported a total of 2,715 suspected cases of the disease within the first 24 days of May 2026. An epidemiological report released by the state shows the affected LGAs as: Jere, Mafa, Konduga, Monguno, Ngala, and Magumeri.
