Buhari approves contract for Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line

President Buhari has approved the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line. Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed this while briefing the virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. Lagos-Ibadan rail to commence operations in September – NRC

Considerable reprieve will come the way of commuters in the South West as skeletal operations are expected to commence on the Lagos-Ibadan Standard Guage Rail line from the middle of September with 16 trips daily.
