The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association, (NMA) has embarked on a five-day warning strike. According to the association, the industrial action became imperative in light of the State government’s failure to meet its demands. No fewer than 38 residents of Takalafia and Gwanja communities, in the Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, have been reportedly killed by herdsmen, who stormed the area recently. Gunmen have abducted at least six pupils in Alwaza community, in Doma local government area of Nasarawa State.
