Suspected bandits have kidnapped some students of Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State, 9news Nigeria has learnt. According to reports, the students were abducted close to their University campus at Mararaba, close to Abuja. Security Task Force moves against bandits in Nasarawa, boundary States

A joint security task force comprising all the security agencies, on Wednesday swooped on a mining site in Nasarawa State and arrested three Chinese nationals and 18 other suspects said to be collaborating with armed bandits. 45 farmers shot dead in Nasarawa, 27 injured, 5,000 displaced

About 45 farmers have been killed and 27 injured following renewed hostility in Lafia, Obi and Awe local government areas of Nasarawa State. It was gathered that the first attack, which reportedly started on Friday morning, continued up till Sunday night. A source said up to 5,000 farmers across 12 communities have been displaced as a result of the attacks. Some of those who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at hospitals across Obi, Lafia and Awe local government areas.

An arms smuggler was yesterday apprehended in Nasarawa State. The man, identified as Likita, was caught with 52 magazines and over 200 live ammunition.
