The embattled former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele, has been granted bail in the sum of N50m after being charged with a 26-count bordering on alleged abuse of office and irregular allocation of $4.5 billion and N2.8 billion respectively. Lagos State Government will today launch the Ounje Eko food markets, offering discounted prices on essential food items across the State. No fewer than seven people were reportedly killed in a stampede amid a rush for subsidised rice in Lagos yesterday.
