The Emir of Dutse, in Jigawa State, Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, has died at the age of 78. The Emir’s son, Hameem Nuhu, who confirmed his death, said the first-class monarch died at Cedercrest Hospital in Abuja, yesterday evening. Born in 1945, at Yargaba village in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, Dr. Sanusi attended Dutse Elementary School from 1952 to 1956. A suit filed by deposed Muhammadu Sanusi II, against the Kano State government and others was Thursday stalled due to the strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
