Slain Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairman Philip Shekwo was buried on Friday in his home town, Yelwa, Toto Local Government Area amid tears by family and sympathisers. Shekwo was buried at about 2:20 p.m. at his residence in accordance with Christian rites. The Supreme Court on Wednesday affirmed Douye Diri as the duly elected governor of Bayelsa. A seven-member panel of the apex court led by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta in a unanimous judgement, dismissed the six appeals filed against the governor and his Deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
