…Says no winner will be denied mandate, irrespective of party
President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated he would leave a safer country when he hands over in 2023.
The President gave the re-assurance yesterday, during the Emblem Appeal Launch for the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President also announced a N10 million donation towards the appeal fund. He called on all Nigerians, as well as corporate organisations, to support veterans and families of the fallen heroes, whose past sacrifices have kept the country together.
The President commended the nations Armed Forces for their efforts at making the country safer, assuring of the administrations continued support and needed funding for them to continue in their efforts.
The event, which preceded the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, attracted many senior government officials and dignitaries, including Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan; Ministers, military and other security chiefs, among others.
