The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be vigilant amid rising tensions following reports of genocide allegations in Nigeria, which have drawn strong reactions from the United States.

Ayodele’s warning comes after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened possible military action against Nigeria over alleged killings of Christians, a development the cleric described as part of a larger international plot against the Tinubu administration.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said he had long foreseen America’s interference in Nigeria’s political landscape but was ignored.
“I have been talking about America fighting Tinubu’s government, but they didn’t take cognizance. When I spoke about the coup, some political commentators criticised it, but what has happened now?” he stated.
According to him, the current global spotlight on Nigeria is not just about human rights but a coordinated move by the opposition, working with some foreign nations, to weaken Tinubu’s government and remove him from power before, or by 2027.
“Either Tinubu likes it or not, it’s a signal to deviate from the strength and power of his government. It’s a move to silence his government for the opposition to rise. The opposition has completed their dealings with some international countries to get support to remove Tinubu from office”, Ayodele warned.
He urged President Tinubu to act swiftly and “seek the face of God,” cautioning that the American government “does not want Tinubu in 2027”.
