President Bola Tinubu will undertake a one-day official visit to Kebbi State today Saturday, to inaugurate projects executed by the state governor, Nasir Idris.

According to a post on X, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy stated that the President will also headline the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as the Special Guest of Honour.
The festival, one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural events, is staged along the riverside of the historic Matan-Fada, which has been recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity.
The Argungu Festival, which attracts visitors from across Nigeria and beyond, features traditional fishing competitions, music, dance, and crafts, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the country.
The President’s visit is part of his ongoing efforts to support state-led development projects and promote Nigeria’s cultural tourism, the statement added.
