Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has come under fire over his remarks against the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. Igbo Forum rejects Iwuanyanwu as Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General

A socio-political group and affiliate of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Njiko Igbo Forum, says it would not recognise Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as its President-General. This was disclosed in a press release signed by the Forum’s president, Rev Okechukwu Christopher Obioha, on Friday. Gunmen raze Ohanaeze President’s country home in Imo

The country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof. George Obiozor, has been set ablaze by gunmen at Awo-Omanma, in the Oru-East local government area of Imo State. The attackers, who reportedly arrived at the Igbo leader’s home in vehicles threw explosive devices at the house yesterday morning. The South-East socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Ifeanyi Ararume and Margaret Okadigbo into the Board of Directors of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.
