President-General of ?hanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is dead. His son, Jide Iwuanyanwu, confirmed his father’s death in a statement yesterday. The 82-year-old Iwuanyanwu passed away on Thursday, following a brief illness, according to the statement. He was a successful businessman and Proprietor of the defunct Iwuanyanwu Football Club , Owerri and Publisher of Champion newspapers, Lagos. A socio-political group and affiliate of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Njiko Igbo Forum, says it would not recognise Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as its President-General.
