The United Nations Children Funds (UNICEF) has lamented that nutrition supplements meant for malnourished children in some communities in Sokoto State are being stolen and sold in the market. UNICEFs Chief of Field Office in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states, Micheal Juma, expressed concerns over the theft of the items during the quarterly policymakers meeting on Wednesday in Sokoto. Kaduna Govt. boots nutrition programmes implementation with release of N132m

Kaduna State Government has released N132 million out of the N300 million allocated in the 2021 budget for Kaduna State Nutrition Emergency Action Plan (KADENAP) to implement nutrition programmes. Umar Bambale, the Project Manager, KADENAP, disclosed this at the 2nd Quarter Coordination Meeting of the State Committee on Food and Nutrition in Kaduna on Friday. The Police Command in Kaduna State, says it has deployed adequate personnel for the conduct of the Saturday by-election in Lere Federal Constituency in the state. The commands spokesman, Mohammed Jalige gave the assurance in an interview Friday in Kaduna.
