16 years old Nigerian wins int’l award for innovative waste solution

A 16-year-old Nigerian teenager, Manasseh Aluga, has won an international award for transforming plastic waste into eco-friendly building bricks. The Action For Nature (AFN), a United States-based environmental organisation, announced Aluga from Jos, Plateau, Nigeria as second in its International Young Eco-Hero Award for his groundbreaking Kundu Waste Management Project. Nigerian lady sets new Guinness World Record for longest handmade wig

A Nigerian lady, Helen Williams has set a new record for longest handmade wig. The Guinness World Record (GWR) disclosed this on its X handle on Tuesday.  She spent 11 days and over N200000 (£2,031; $2,493) making the wig, which stretched an incredible 351.28 metres (1,152 ft 5 in). Okonjo-Iweala Emerges WTO DG

Former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been elected Director General of the World Trade Organisation WTO).
