The student of Federal University Dutse, in Jigawa State, Aminu Muhammad, who reportedly posted a controversial tweet on Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has been remanded in prison. Muhammad, who hails from Azare, in Bauchi State, and is a final-year student at the Department of Environmental Management, was arrested by the Police over his tweet which appeared to mock the First Lady. Nigerian students protest COVID-19 lockdown; call on FG to re-open tertiary institutions

The National Association of University Students (NAUS), National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), and National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education (NANCES), yesterday held a nationwide protest to demand the immediate reopening of campus across Nigeria.
