COVID-19: Nigeria records 859 infections, two deaths on Monday

859 persons have caught the COVID-19 virus in Nigeria on Monday. The country also lost two persons to the virus on the same day. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, stated on Tuesday that Monday’s figures raised the country’s infection tally to Two Hundred and Thirty Eight, Four Hundred and Twenty and the death toll to Three Thousand and Twenty-Four. Covid-19 Omicron: UK govt puts Nigeria on red list

…Bans foreign travellers The UK Government has said Nigeria will be added to the countries on its red list due to the discovery of Covid-19 Omicron cases linked to Nigeria. The decision was announced in a tweet by the UK yesterday. According to the new protocol, non-UK and non-Irish citizens who are travelling in from Nigeria will not be allowed entry into the UK. 13,241 Nigerians killed extra-judicially in 10 yrs, democracy declining – Centre for Democracy; Development
