Kaduna Assembly set to probe Nasir el-Rufai’s administration

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has established a committee tasked with examining financial transactions, loans, grants, and project execution in former Governor Nasir el-Rufa’i’s administration. El-Rufa’i, a former Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, governed Kaduna State between the years 2015 and 2023. The Assembly set up the fact-finding committee yesterday at the plenary, held at the Lord Lugard Legislative Complex in Kaduna. Another COVID lockdown looms in Kaduna

Alleged defamation: El-Rufa’i slams N2bn suit against Omokri, Odinkalu, others

Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El Rufa’i has slammed a N2bn defamation suit against a former media aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, a former Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, Thisday Newspapers Limited and others. Others sued in the three separate suits are Timothy Elombah, Daniel Elombah, Silas Onu and Auta Nyada. The defamation suits were filed by his lawyer A.U.
