Chairman of Sabuwa local government area of Katsina State, Engr. Sagir Tanimu,  has attended the wedding ceremony of children belonging to some of the bandits in the state. The event, which comes weeks after a peace pact, was part of ongoing reconciliation efforts between the government and the bandit groups operating in the areea. According to reports, Tanimu was said to have also joined Fulani residents in the forest for a wedding ceremony in Kadawan ÆŠandume village, a community recently reconciled with the local authorities after years of violent clashes.…

Rivers: LGA chairmen dare Fubara, vow to remain in office beyond tenure

The Rivers State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON), has slammed the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, accusing him of tempering with funds meant for the 23 LGAs in the State in the last 12 months.
