IPOB plans ‘peaceful’ protests today

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) said its members would begin peaceful protests across the ‘Biafra’ land today. According to a statement issued by the spokesman of the pro-Biafra group, Emma Powerful, the protest, scheduled to hold in Benin, Enugu, Aba, Abakaliki, Umuahia, Nnewi, Uyo, Calabar, Onitsha and among others states is as a result of the killings, destruction and burning of private properties across ‘Biafraland’.  Powerful, who also disclosed the protesters would also engage in a clean-up exercise to tidy up and clear the numerous mountains of rubbish…

IPOB hoodlums set Ziks statue Ablaze in Anambra

Some unknown groups of suspected IPOB hoodlums in Onitsha, Anambra state, have destroyed the statue of Nigerias first president Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, erected in the city. The hoodlums are suspected to be some of those who hijacked the #EndSARS protest to wreak havoc in the city and beyond. It was reported that the statute, located at Denis Memorial Grammar School roundabout in Onitsha, was erected some months ago by Gov. Willie Obiano to further beautify the city. The sit-at-home exercise called by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) flopped in most states and major cities in the South-east except for Onitsha and Nnewi in Anambra, and Aba in Abia State. IPOB members kill DSS operatives in Enugu

The Department of State Services (DSS) said members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) killed two of its operatives yesterday at Emene in Enugu State. Peter Afunanya, Public Relations Officer, narrated the incident in a statement Sunday night. A statement issued by DSS said the two personnel died in what was clearly an unprovoked violent attack launched by IPOB on the team.
