About 17 lawmakers of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 10th House of Representatives have defected to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). The development was announced yesterday by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, during plenary. The Speaker also disclosed that Leke Abejide has defected from the ADC to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Lawmakers who moved to the NDC include Yusuf Datti, Uchenna Okonkwo, Adamu Wakili, Thaddeus Attah, George Ozodinobi, Lilian Orogbu, Oluwaseyi Sowunmi, Peter Aniekwe, Mukhtar Zakari, George Oluwande and Munachim Umezuruike.
