Kano fire service saves 132 lives, N16.5m property in October

The Kano State Fire Service says it saved 132 lives and property worth N16.5 million in 41 fire incidents in the state in October. Man opens fire at Croatian government building, wounds policeman

An attacker opened fire with an assault rifle in front of the Croatian government headquarters in Zagreb on Monday, wounding a policeman guarding the building, the Interior Ministry said. The attacker fled after firing three volleys of automatic fire and then apparently committed suicide. Police said the mans body was found less than a kilometre away.
