Malnutrition: Kaduna to promote early initiation, exclusive breastfeeding — Dep. Gov.

The Kaduna State Government said on Friday that it would scale up efforts to promote early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding of infants below six months. Exclusive breastfeeding also protects mothers — UNICEF

The United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has said that exclusive breastfeeding does not only protect the child, but also the mother at birth. Dr Oluniyi Oyedekun, a Nutrition Specialist with UNICEF made this known on Wednesday, at a one-day media sensitisation organised by the UNICEF Kano Feld Office.
