No fewer than 60 people have been recovered from the scene of the tanker explosion at Dikko junction along Abuja /Kaduna  expressway, Gurara local government area of Niger State, while injuring several others. The Federal Ministry of Works and Housing has said the incessant bandits’ attacks on the Kaduna- Kano-Abuja road is the reason for the slow pace of construction work on that axis. The Federal Government has said the rehabilitation of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway was suspended due to security threats after the March 2022 train attack.
