The Supreme Court has dismissed a suit seeking the removal of the Arabic inscription from the Nigerian Army’s emblem.

Delivering judgment on Wednesday in Lagos, the court held that a single individual does not have the legal standing to represent all Nigerians in a case seeking the removal of the Arabic inscription from the Army’s logo.

The court therefore struck out the suit, ruling that the plaintiff lacked the authority to bring the action on behalf of the entire Nigerian population.
