The massive event, described by political watchers as one of the biggest grassroots mobilisations in recent history, saw thousands of former members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) formally defect to the APC under the unifying leadership of Governor Sani.

The carnival-like atmosphere reflected the Governor’s growing influence and the broad acceptance of his inclusive governance style that continues to bridge political divides across the state, according to political heavyweights at the venue.

In attendance were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) as well as several National Assembly members, who hailed Governor Uba Sani for redefining political engagement in the North.

Speaking at the event, party leaders commended the Governor for building bridges of unity and demonstrating uncommon leadership that puts people above politics.

Observers say the unprecedented turnout signals a major political realignment that could boost the ruling party’s 2027 electoral fortune in Kaduna and reaffirms the state’s position as a stronghold of the APC under Governor Uba Sani’s visionary leadership.
