…Says decision still pending
Kaduna State Ministry of Education has debunked the media reports making the rounds that the State Government had re-introduced the five day teaching system.
The State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Abubakar Sani Sambo debunked the rumour, in an interview with newsmen in Kaduna.
According to him, the state government has not restored the 5-day school week, saying it is still a proposal currently under consultation with stakeholders.
Prof. Abubakar Sambo said the media misquoted him on the issue and advised the general public to disregard the reports. He stated that the State Government has not taken any decision regarding the five day teaching system.
The Commissioner, therefore, called on the Media to always scrutinize their reports before dissemination to avoid causing confusion among the public.
