A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, is dead.
The second Speaker of the House of Representatives in this 4th Republic, Na’Abba died in the early hours of today, Wednesday.
Although, newsmen were unable to get the details surrounding the circumstances of his death as of press time, it was gathered that his corpse was being conveyed by his family members for burial.
Recall that Na’Abba was elected Member of the House of Representatives from Kano State in 1999. He became the seventh Speaker a few months after the inauguration of the House, following the resignation of the then-Speaker, Salisu Buhari, from the same Kano State, over certificate forgery scandal.
