Construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has it will close all operations in the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Abuja, throughout the weekend over the travel advisory issued by the United States and United Kingdom on possible terror attacks in the FCT.

The company is the second one to take the decision after the popular Jabi Lake Mall, acting in response to the alert on public places in the nations capital city, decided to shut down operations till further notice.
This is despite the Federal Government downplaying the threat, saying measures were on to keep the FCT safe.
In a statement by the companys Managing Director and Corporate Security Manager, Engr. Lars Bichter and Poul Nielsen respectively, the company advised its staff to avoid public premises during the weekend.
Consequently, in an issued statement on Friday, Julius Berger advised its employees to stay off public areas throughout the weekend in order to stay safe. This advice is applicable from Friday, October 28, 2022 in the evening until Monday, October 31, 2022 in the morning”, it stated.
Meanwhile, the Department of State Services (DSS) as well as the Nigerian Police has responded to the security alerts, saying that Abuja is not saturated with bombs.
They assured that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)) is safe and there is no imminent threat.
