The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised the Shehu Musa Gabam-led National Working Committee of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
INEC updated the party’s structure on its official website, listing Shehu Musa Gabam as National Chairman, and Dr. Olu Agunloye as National Secretary.
Other key members include: National Treasurer, Hajiya Maggie Mariam and National Legal Adviser, Barrister Aderemi Abimbola.
The update carries the notation: “By Court Order” before the names of most executive members (except the National Secretary), in line with recent Court of Appeal judgments affirming Gabam’s leadership.
This move is expected to resolve the long-running leadership crisis in the SDP and allow the party to focus on rebuilding ahead of the 2027 general elections.
