Army launches 1st Nigerian-made AK-47 in Kaduna

The Nigeria Army has launched its first homemade AK-47, codenamed OBJ006, by the military in Kaduna.

According to reports, the guns are massively produced by the Defence Industries Corporation, (DICON), with the same capability as the real AK-47.

Recall that the former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, announced in November 2020 that eight units of locally made combat vehicles Mine-Resistant, Ambush–Protected (MRAP), also called `Ezugwu’, have been inducted by the Nigerian Army into its ‘Operations Lafiya-Dole’ and ‘Sahel-Sanity”.
