The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the 2027 general election will serve as a referendum on the reforms of President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at the Hope Ambassadors Summit in Abuja, Yilwatda said the party is focused on turning the President’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda into electoral victory through strong communication, grassroots mobilisation, and party unity.

He argued that governance and political success are inseparable, stressing that reforms must be clearly communicated and structurally supported to earn public trust. According to him, while the opposition is banking on temporary hardships caused by reforms, the APC has chosen long-term solutions over short-term populism. “In 2027, Nigerians will vote for results, not noise”, he said, describing the election as a choice between populism and progress.

Yilwatda warned against internal divisions and inconsistent messaging, insisting that unity across party structures is critical. He urged governors, party leaders, and Renewed Hope Ambassadors to lead with performance, amplify achievements, and defend party positions.

He expressed confidence that with cohesion, strategic mobilisation, and effective communication, the APC would secure victory in 2027, framing the poll as a decisive referendum on reform, stability, and Nigeria’s future direction.
