Fixes presidential form at ₦100m, gov’ship ₦50m

The All-Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, setting out key dates for the sale of nomination forms, screening processes, and primary elections across all elective positions.

The timetable, contained in a schedule of activities issued by the party and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, indicates that the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will begin later this month at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

According to the document, the sale of forms is scheduled to commence on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and will run through Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The party also fixed the dates for its primary elections, beginning with the presidential primary slated for Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Other primary elections will follow shortly after, with the House of Representatives primaries scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026, while the Senate primaries will hold on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The State House of Assembly primaries are expected to take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, with the governorship primaries fixed for Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The APC also announced the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants seeking to contest under the party’s platform in the 2027 general elections.

According to the schedule, the Presidential form is pegged at ₦100,000,000, while the Governorship form costs ₦50,000,000.

Other costs listed in the timetable include: State House of Assembly: ₦6,000,000; House of Representatives: ₦10,000,000; Senate: ₦20,000,000;

Governorship: ₦50,000,000  and

Presidential: ₦100,000,000

The party reaffirmed its commitment to credible internal democratic processes, stating that the timetable provides a structured pathway for aspirants and stakeholders ahead of the 2027 polls.

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the Party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals”, the statement read.

The timetable was earlier signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu OFR, and outlines timelines for screening, appeals, and other pre-primary activities.

Political observers say the early release of the timetable is expected to give aspirants sufficient time to prepare while also setting the tone for early political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
