..As Ganduje makes political comeback
The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made yesterday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Kano, which was attended by senior party leaders, including former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The meeting marked Ganduje’s first major political appearance since his resignation as APC National Chairman in June 2025.
In a communiqué issued after the session, party chieftains commended the Tinubu administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, economic reforms, and empowerment programmes under the Renewed Hope Agenda. They described these initiatives as sufficient grounds to support his re-election.
Those in attendance included Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau; Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, as well as serving and former political officeholders from the state.
Party insiders said the gathering was significant for reinforcing internal cohesion within the APC in Kano and for setting the tone ahead of the 2027 general elections.
