2023: Atiku warn Wike, others against dumping him, says it will end their political careers

Atiku Abubakar has warned Governor Nyesom Wike and the other ‘group of five’ member governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), a.k.a G-5, against their alleged plot to dump him for a rival presidential candidate, warning that it would signal the end of their political careers.

His caution was articulated by his campaign spokesperson, Senator Dino Melaye, who affirmed that no envy or blackmail would detract the Wazirin Adamawa from his aspiration towards winning the presidency next February.

The five aggrieved governors, comprising Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu states are reportedly meeting in London, UK, where they expect to come up with a presidential candidate that they would endorse in the 2023 presidential poll.

The five aggrieved governors and some political heavyweights from the South had constituted themselves into a group known as the Integrity Group.

Melaye, speaking on behalf of the Atiku Campaign Council, following alleged plans by the Wike-led G-5 to ditch the PDP presidential candidate, warned that No blackmail, hate, or outrageous envy will stop Atiku. I pray it (G-5 governors imminent endorsement of their preferred candidate), is not true”.

Attacking Atiku will cost them their political future. You dont fight a man who has done nothing to provoke you. Atikus only offence is that he won a presidential primary transparently and openly. No man should play God. It is too late to stop Atiku. They should have a re-think while they can. Atiku will be president because the people have decided.

“My advice to the G-5 is dont end your political career because of an inordinate ambition and capricious manifestation that will yield no result. If they take that step, it will be the last kick of a dying horse, he asserted.
