Three buried alive in Rivers forest for reporting oil theft

Three corpses of kidnap victims have again been exhumed in Rivers State, this time, from a forest in Bera, Gokana Local Government Area, where suspected killers led the Police The kidnap victims, Baridomale Sunday Tor, Baridon Gbarabera and Barisiton Nawee, were said to have been buried alive with mouths and hands tied to their back by their abductors on March 14. No fewer than 50 people have been arrested by officials of the Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19 at a night club in Ilorin, the state capital. Kidnappers have released Hassana, wife of the deceased former Speaker of Edo House of Assembly, Zakawanu Garuba. Guruba who was speaker of the Edo assembly between 2007 and 2009, died in Abuja after a brief illness. A bomb explosion had occured on Saturday at Yammama village near Malumfashi town in Katsina state. The Police Command said five children were killed. The spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, said six other children were injured in the blast that occurred just before noon. The train fare for the Abuja to Kaduna service will double when the train resumes, the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi has said.
