Speaking to newsmen moments after submitting a petition at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Garki against expelled National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu and other “saboteurs,” Turaki announced that nothing will stop him and his colleagues from meeting tomorrow at the office

Turaki vowed that nothing would stop him and his colleagues from holding their meeting at the Wadata Plaza tomorrow. He said he had informed the Commissioner of Police ahead of the meeting, to ensure the security of the attendees.

“We came here to have an interface with the Commissioner of Police regarding our inaugural NWC meeting, to which we have invited our governors, our National Assembly members and our founding fathers”  Turaki said.

His declaration comes hours after the PDP faction loyal to Nyesom Wike announced plans to hold its Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings on the same date and venue.

Recall that the schedule for the Board of Trustees and National Executive Council meeting was disclosed in a notice by the factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

According to the notice, the meetings would be held at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja. “Attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed”, Anyawu stated.

This development represents the latest phase in the crisis rocking the PDP and Nigerians wait eagerly in expectation of how the drama will play out.
