President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday received former Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Yakubu Ɗanjuma (rtd), at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Presidency confirmed the meeting in a brief statement accompanied by photographs.
The statement read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience General Theophilus Yakubu Ɗanjuma (rtd) at the State House, Abuja, Saturday, February 28, 2026”.
As of the time of filing this report, the purpose of the visit had not been disclosed.
Recall that Ɗanjuma previously served as Chief of Army Staff under the military administration of Olusegun Obasanjo and later as Minister of Defence during Obasanjo’s civilian presidency.
He is currently a businessman and is widely recognised for his philanthropic work through the TY Ɗanjuma Foundation.
