President Bola Tinubu has assigned portfolios to the ministerial nominees recently cleared for appointment by the Senate of the National Assembly.

According to Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, appointing the portfolios, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu named immediate-past governors of Rivers and Ebonyi States, Nyesom Wike and Dave Umahi, as Ministers of FCT and Minister of Works, respectively.
Other portfolios as released by the Presidency yesterday include: Lateef Fagbemi, (SAN) as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), while former Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, will serve as Minister of Transportation.
Former Jigawa state governor Abubakar Badaru was named Minister of Defence, while Hannatu Musawa has been appointed Minister of Arts and Creative Industry; Housing and Urban Development – Ahmed Dangiwa and Labour and Employment -Simon Lalong.

Also named by President Tinubu are Blueprint newspaper publisher, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Malagi – Information and National Orientation; Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy – Bosun Tuani; Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management – Ishak Salaco and Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy – Wale Edun, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy – Bunmi Tunji.
The other Ministers are: Innovation Science and Technology – Uche Nnaji; Minister of State, Labour and Employment- Nkiruka Onyejeocha; Minister of Women Affairs – Uju Kennedy. The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development is Festus Keyamo, and Minister of Youth, Abubakar Momoh.
The rest are: Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation – Betta Edu, Minister of State, Gas Resources – Ekperikpe Ekpo; Minister of State, Petroleum Resources – Heineken Lokpobiri and Minister of Sports Development – John Enoh.

Presidential Spokesman, however, could not confirm the exact date for the swearing-in and inauguration. It was however gathered that a ministerial retreat for the ministers will take place before the swearing-in ceremony.
